Experienced Hospital Floor Manager
Silverlake Animal Hospital is looking to add another experienced Manager to our amazing team! Position is FULL TIME (approx 40 hrs/week).
We are a full service companion animal hospital with well-trained staff that are committed to providing high quality care to our clients and patients. We are a 4 doctor, AAHA accredited practice who prides ourselves in high quality patient and client care. We are looking for a team member that fits in well with our team and our values. An ideal Floor Manager candidate has great leadership and communication skills, emotional intelligence, and has the ability to multitask and prioritize properly.
Candidate must have previous management experience in a Veterinary Hospital/Emergency Animal Hospital. Candidate should also have experience as a Veterinary Technician (LVT preferred).
Daily duties include but are not limited to the following:
-Manages the everyday operations of the hospital & ensures efficient operation, solves problems if issues arise.
-Optimizes staff to ensure maximum productivity and best client service. Able to appropriately coach and direct staff on a day to day basis to ensure all clients’ needs are met.
-Is able to give constructive criticism to technical staff and coach team members in a productive way.
-Thoroughly understands all department duties and job descriptions of all team members.
-Maintains a positive work environment for the entire team every day.
-Prepares staff schedules
-Helps Hospital Administrator with interviews, hiring, training, performance evaluations.

Veterinary Technician
Silverlake Animal Hospital is continuing to grow and is wanting to add to our fantastic team of Veterinary Technicians! Position is FULL TIME (37-40 hours/week). Ideal candidate would be proficient in BOTH surgery and appointments, . Candidates must be available during our business hours of 7am-6pm Monday-Friday & be available to work rotating weekends. Weekday shifts are normally 8 hours.

Surgery technician duties include preanesthetic exam/evaluation, drug calculations and administration, anesthesiology, induction and recovery, monitoring and documentation of vitals, being knowledgeable of normal and abnormal vitals, performing canine & feline dental prophylactic cleanings with full mouth digital radiographs.
Appointment technician duties include admission and discharge of appointments, client communication and education, reviewing treatment plans with client, serving as liaison between doctor and client.
Candidate should be friendly, have a positive attitude, have great client communication skills, be able to work well in a team atmosphere, and be able to multi-task and prioritize properly.
