Leslie is our Hospital Administrator & Practice Manager. Leslie was raised in Alvin, Texas & graduated from Alvin High School in 2005. After high school, she attended Texas A & M University in College Station where she earned her bachelor’s degree by completing a major in Biomedical Science & a minor in Business. Leslie is a member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of ’09! After college, she decided to further her studies in veterinary technology while working full time at a veterinary clinic. After completing her degree through the Distance Education Veterinary Technology Program through Cedar Valley College, Leslie passed her Veterinary Technician National Exam & Texas State Exam, which accredits her the title of Licensed Veterinary Technician.
Outside of work, Leslie loves to spend time with her family & friends. She & her husband Michael have two energetic toddler boys one furchild- “Madeline”, a gorgeous but bossy medium hair cat.
Leslie joined the team here at Silverlake Animal Hospital in December of 2012, but she has worked in the veterinary industry since 2006. She has come to us with experience in all areas of the veterinary clinic including boarding, technical nursing, anesthesia, dentistry, & management. She loves working with dogs, cats, & exotics & looks forward to serving you & your pets!
Elyssa is our Floor Manager and Lead Veterinary Technician. Elyssa was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was there that she first discovered how strong her love for animals was and began volunteering with a local dog/cat rescue group. Since then she has worked and volunteered with many different types of wild, exotic and domestic animals.
Elyssa earned her Associate of Applied Science Degree in Veterinary Technology at the Vet Tech Institute of Houston in 2010. Shortly after completing her degree she passed her Veterinary Technician National Exam and her Texas State Exam, which earned her the title of Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). Elyssa has been a technician here at Silverlake Animal Hospital since 8/13, but has been in the veterinary field since 2007.
When Elyssa isn't at work she enjoys reading, swimming, spending time with her family/friends and taking care of her own animals. Elyssa currently has a human son named Dylan, 4 mixed breed dogs, 3 Cornish Rex cats, 1 Sphynx cat, 3 ball pythons, 1 Senegal Parrot, and 2 Bearded Dragons.
Melanie is our Technician Shift Leader. Melanie came to Silverlake Animal Hospital in July of 2014 as an extern shortly after completing schooling. She attended the Vet Tech Institute of Houston where she graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology.
Melanie has one fur child, Trixie, a 5-year old golden retriever/lab mix. She is currently preparing to take her veterinary technician national exam & Texas state exam to become a licensed veterinary technician.
Hi, my name is Megan and I started working at Silverlake Animal Hospital in February of 2015. I have been working in the veterinary field since 2008 as a kennel technician, veterinary assistant, and veterinary technician. I attended Vet Tech Institute in 2012 and graduated in 2013. Later that year I passed my state and national board and became a licensed veterinary technician in early 2014.
I currently have 4 fur-babies, 3 cats and one dog who are all rescues.
Hi! My name is Elizabeth, I was born and raised in Concord, New Hampshire, and moved to Texas in January 2019. I earned my Bachelors Degree from Northwest Missouri State University in Animal Science while playing for their collegiate volleyball team. I then continued my education with Penn Foster College where I am currently studying to earn my Veterinary Technician degree.
Aside from small animal medicine, I have my certification in Equine veterinary technology from AAEVT.
I absolutely love my job as a Nurse here at Silverlake! Outside of the veterinary hospital, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing volleyball, painting & drawing, and exploring new places.
I currently have no fur-babies but I plan to rescue both dogs and horses in the future!
Hi! My name is Kiana and I have worked at Silverlake Animal Hospital since May 2018. I was born and raised in Houston and eventually moved to Pearland in 2010. After graduating from high school, I began my studies at the Vet Tech Institute of Houston where I graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. I am currently preparing to take my state exam to become a licensed veterinary technician.
I have 1 fur baby named Star, a 3-year-old German Shepherd, who is my pride and joy!
Hey! My name is Brandi and I started working at Silverlake Animal Hospital in December of 2015. I was born and raised in Spokane, Washington but am very proud to know call Texas my home. I have been working in the animal care industry for over 2 years now. I chose animal medicine after deciding to leave the military and follow my passion of helping animals’ live happy healthy lives. I graduated from Veterinary Technician Institute of Houston with and Associates in Applied Science. I love my job and getting to help educate people about their furry little ones.
I have 3 fur babies myself; Nilly, a 5 year old siamese/tabby, Scrappy, a 4 year old domestic long hair tuxedo and last but not least Dixie, a 1 ½ year old lab mix. All rescues that stole my heart the moment I saw them.
When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my hubby and family doing anything outdoors, shopping or seeing movies. To relax I am a huge crafter! Painting, drawing and creating, you think of it I’ve dabbled at it!

Hi I'm Raven, I grew up in a dog loving household. At one time we had 9 dogs at once and I loved every minute of it. I plan to go back to school to become a veterinarian assistant and I am blessed that I get to work at Silverlake Animal Hospital. I enjoy working with animals it has always been my dream.
Hey, my name is Kristin and I started working at Silverlake Animal Hospital September 2017. Born and raised in Houston, Texas in a very pet loving environment. With rescuing and helping every wayward animal I met, I knew at a young age that the Veterinary field is where I belonged. I have been working in the Veterinary industry for over six years now.
I have one amazing husband and three very spoiled fur babies of my own; Delilah, a seven year old long haired Dachshund, who rules the household, KeeKat, an eighteen year old orange and white domestic short haired cat, who is my all time favorite little man, and last but not least Dartagnan, who is a seven year old black and white domestic shorthaired cat, who gets into absolutely everything.

Hi, my name is Meagan. I joined the Silverlake Animal Hospital team as a Veterinary Assistant in May 2019. I am very passionate for the care of all animals large or small, and hope to further my education to become a Veterinary Technician here in the near future.
I have three dogs- Bella a Pekingese, Harvey a rescue Lab/Boxer mix, and Maverick a rescue Jack Russel mix who are all very happy and healthy pups. When I'm not at work you can catch me relaxing outdoors typically fishing or swimming or watching the Astros play with my friends and family!

Hi my name is Sylvia! I started working at Silverlake Animal Hospital January 2019. I was born in Tacoma, Washington on a navy base and moved down to Alvin, Texas when I was three, so I lived most of my life in Alvin, Texas. I graduated from Alvin High School and attended Alvin Community College for Vet Assistant. I love working with animals & get a great feeling when helping animals in need. I want to go back to school and become a Technician and one day become a Zoologist.
When I’m not working, I love to play with my 2 dogs- Bella, a rat terrier and my puppy Django, a Husky/German Shepherd mix. I’m really big on working out and eating healthy and also do pro wrestling as a hobby.
